I'm angry at WordPress!

I'm trying to port my brother's handmade blog to WordPress but I'm having trouble entering javascript into static pages. Auto line break insertion is corrupting my code and I can't figure out how to turn it off without hacking the source code of the blog engine. UGH... I'm going to install MovableType for him.

Edit: I found a plugin called Text Control that lets me turn off auto text formatting. What kind of software requires the installation of additional software in order to remove a feature?
