Where da ladies at?

Single men should flock to the East Coast, while the West Coast is a haven for single ladies!

Facebookémon: Gotta catch 'em all!

Facebook is my newest addiction. Although I've been a member for a while now, I've only had a lot of luck reconnecting with long lost elementary and high school friends and foes in recent weeks. It's fun to see how the girls have all blossomed into beautiful women and the boys have become fine young men. I'm sure no one is having trouble coming to terms with the fact that I am still an eccentric dork.

Facebook is not a substitute for personally reaching out to friends but for someone as busy as myself, it's good enough to keep abreast of the latest news in social circles in which I was once active.

I always get a kick out of the stuff that comes through on my Facebook RSS feed. It's so convenient that I can get real time updates on when friends break up with their significant others or when they hook up with someone. Isn't technology wonderful?

The Supper Club presents: Mexican lunch at Simply Hired

Taking a cue from Maria's pinata making party, I made a pinata last week for my company's burrito lunch.

No pillow fight for me

I was hoping to attend the big pillow fight at the Ferry Plaza but I couldn't make it due to a product release. Had I been able to go, this is what I would have worn.

For the record, I don't have a Waldo fetish. I just think that where there's a crowd and many pictures being taken, there ought to be a Waldo to find in all of those pictures.

My name is Winona and I have a problem.

I swear that Simone Legno (the designer for tokidoki) is out to get my money.

Here's my latest acquisition:

LeSportsac Ciao Ciao tote in Pirata print.

Sexy pirates and cute little monkey pirates... how can I resist? It's not fair that the designs are getting progressively cuter and cuter. I am actually quite upset that I am addicted to something as frivolous as handbags. My only consolation is that I can afford it.

I am not a blogger

Even though I maintain several blogs, frequent blogs and even hang out with bloggers on occasion, I don't identify myself as a blogger. To me, the "blogger" label has the stigma of self-important naval gazing attached to it and I want to distance myself from that.

However, I am not one of those people who hate the word "blog" because it is a lazy conjunction of "weblog" or because it sounds funny. I don't feel offended when someone calls me a blogger. I don't hide the fact that I blog, but I would never volunteer that information because I don't feel that blogging defines who I am. I define myself by some of the activities that are described in my blog entries, but blogging about them is merely the method by which I document the events in my life so that I may recall them at a later date.

By the same token, I take pictures, but I am not a photographer.
I write poetry, but I am not a poet.
I sing, but I am not a singer.
I prepare food, but I am not a chef.
I clip my nails, but I am not a manicurist.
I blog, but I am not a blogger.
